Sea Lions at Carnac Island. We had a very friendly one that just wanted to hang around the boat. We did not catch much that day.

We were a bit worried that
We were a bit worried that he would jump in the boat with us.
If we did actually catch a fish ie:wrasse he would wait until it was dehooked and we put the fish back in the water. He was so quick that the fish did not have a chance.
When one of the kids caught a fish he launched himself out of the water trying to get the fish while it was still on the hook. He was so big that his head was level with the top of the boat watching us with the fish.
We had to move spots and he followed us around. Luckily a few other boats turned up and he went looking somewhere else. That was a great day and the kids talk about it all the time.

I love them also
took the eldest grandson out on News Years day 12 years ago, Bob yelled out on the way to GI, there's a seal, stopped and came up, young grandson was fascinated with this big dog in the water, if we had tried to look for a seal for him it would never have happened, wouldn't like to have a bite from them, their mouth looks so much like a dogs mouth and the same day saw a pod of dolphins, took photos, but didn't have a digital camera then. Nature is fasinating and its even better when the kids are on board to see nature first hand.
