My first ever black bream session went well today. Hooked up more than 10 of em (many were undersized and therefore released) and 1 flounder. They were good fun on 6lb line! This one put up a good fight, trying to dart into rocks before i managed to turn its head and guide it to shore. Thought i'd keep this one for the dinner table!
Well done Loco. How did you find fishing in the river like? Did you enjoy it as much as fishing the open waters of the ocean? But boy, thats a good fish! Its pretty fat too, were you in the lower parts of the Swan Loco? Cause you manage flounder aswell, TOP WORK!!!
My reels screaming zzzzzzz.... awwww damn it, its another boat!
All the best for the future fishing trips. Cheers.... Jangles
Not the type who keeps spots to himself so yeah i landed this at the Burswood flats. Might be down there again today to have a flick or two ;) Leyenda pesca
got some action there today on soft plastics too... was the "go to" spot this morning to get a fish after trying around herison and the causeway without a single touch
Just thought i'd like to share that i've recently been having success using Ecogear's SX-40 hardbody lure at the flats. Yet to try any soft plastics tho. Any suggestions as to which SP's that has been working? Thanks.
flickbaits and bass/power minnows have been working for me... been trying 2' curl tail grubs which a lot of die-hard breamers recommend but they haven't been working for me...
