Transducer anti-foul

I've got an Airmar TM-260 installed on my Wellcraft which is penned. The growth is unbelievable!! The boat is due for anti-foul so I'm thinking of giving the transducer a very very light sand with water paper and then applying the same anti-foul to the transducer as the rest of the boat. Any advice?

okay, found it. Latex based is what you need and it's available from Whitworths. It comes with a paint brush in the lid but it's about the size of a nail polish brush!!
