Went out again on monday to our new ground we have came across and in karratha and seen well over 20 size trout and a large number of blue bones. After finally picking one that was large enough to satisfy i slammed the spear through the top of its head and after strugling with it for about 20 seconds while it was trying to pull under a ledge and into a narrow cave it ripped the spear. Lucky enough there was a small hole about 25cm in diameter a meter and a half back from the enterance to the cave wich was too narrow to see into. There was blood pouring out od this small hole so after getting my breath back it was time to dive down and shove my hand though and see what i could find - after getting my arm in there and having to fully extend it in there to reach the end i felt the fish with its head rammed that hard into the sand and rocks at the back there was no way of grabbing it by the gills and ripping it out. four dives later i gave up on this method and just grabbed it by the tail which normally there is no way of doing due to how slimy they are but i managed to pull it out tail first and the rest is history.

as you can see in the pics it got a bit of a hammering (72cm trout)
