Site Upgrade - Complete

I mentioned a while back that the site was to be upgraded. My mate in India has only just got round to it due to some difficulties obtaining internet over there, but it is done and all is good.

A quick update:
Latest Content- It will show the comments added to forums/photos ordered the most recent posted.

Latest Photos - The latest photos added to the site in the order in which they have been submitted, you can see which ones have new comments on them by scrolling down and seeing the *new* halfway accross the column.

Latest Posts - It is ordered from the latest forums contributed to the site and will not change order when there is a new comment. If you want to keep a constant track on the newest stuff added to the site the best method is to check Latest Content.

I hope this new upgrade makes the site a little easier to use and optimises the photos and forums for those who just wish to browse and those whom are contributors.

The fishwrecked homepage has just broken the half a million visitors mark and I'd like to thank all of you who have supported the site along the way. I'd especially like to thank Andy Mac for his tireless admin and moderating work whilst I moved to Exmouth, much appreciated mate.

Cheers,
Adam Gallash

Dunno what you've done but for me your system is working slower than any other site I use.

I'm on broadband and 54.0Mbps with signal quality excellent.
Just to open this thread took nearly 2mins.

Any ideas to speed things up?

Still a good site tho.

Site speed should still load up faster than google, well, thats from here in Exmouth. But I have noticed it being a bit sluggish lately, wasn't sure if that was my downgrade from 1.5 meg to 512k. I have fired off an email to my hosting company to see if they know anything. Cheers for the heads up, will look into it.

Adam I have experienced the same problem as Mick B mate.Fishwrecked takes a great deal of longer time to load up than other sites. It also takes a long time to open up posts or read new links/comment in the forums.I am on 1.5meg broadband and am experiencing these problems since the upgrade.
