OUT FROM JURIEN TODAY
Gday All,
Headed up to jurien last night with five mates to head out with whitey from Seasport charters.I had heard there was plenty of Sambos around already so i was keen to test out all my new jigging gear which has been gathering dust because of the recent crap weather.
We stopped on the way out on some bait grounds and filled up the live tank and a few minuted later arrived at the first wreck.THe Sambo's were thick although not huge.I jigged up aroung 6 between 8 and 15kg's and then decided to have a rest and use some bait.this was smashed by a bigger sambo which went 25kg and fun on the PE3 gear.
After that we had all nearly had enough of sambos with probably 30 others boated with the biggest going 27kg so i switched to soft plastics and got.......more sambos and a mutton bird.(F@#!!)
Whitey kept us moving to chase down some pinkies and it paid off we bagged 7 ranging from 45cm through to 76cm this was the biggest one i got on a Plastic.
Anyway it was a awesome day out with heaps of Sambo's and a good number of baldys and pinkies for a feed.Gotta give props to whitey for being a top operator, know's the place like the back of his hand and will take small groups out a a very reasonable price. Will have to go back again soon for sure.
Cheers,
chris

Yeah george..
He is selling that boat due to running costs but is going to downgrade to a smaller vessel and do more customised charters for small groups so he will still be around which will be good.

Whitey...
...is the "fisherman's fisherman"! Most operators would simply jerk up the price to pay for the higher cost of running the boat but this bloke is doing his best to keep it accessible to the majority of the angling population.
If you're thinking of doing a metro charter, take an extra day off, fork out for some fuel and accomodation, and go out on Whitey's boat 'cause you won't be disappointed. Probably the best value charter operation in the state, at least south of Shark Bay anyway.

only small dhu's brian..
apparently getting harder to find them close to town but we did'nt venture very far.
Whitey had some good spots for dhu's but they involved a fair bit more driving that would eat into our fishing time so we opted for more fun!

Nice Sambo and Pinky Chris
It sounds like it might be a good sambo season this year.

Valkoista...
...Whitey's boat...a converted 60' ali crayboat. Don't know what her fuel consumption is like but the last one I worked on, a 49 foot ali, used about 30 litres an hour (800hp Fiat) which was considered economical. We would take around 1500 litres every ten days when we were fishing inside the reef.

i work on whiteys boat it a
i work on whiteys boat it a 56ft fiberglass west coaster with a 700hp iveco in it and trust me its not cheap but the fees dont stop there , theres pen fees and insurance as well as the servay and matenace, but with the new boat on the cards it will keep us going till then and once the new boat comes up, we will be doing mor personalszed charters, or being more of a fishing guide than a charter boat.
