Should be able to cut a hole
Should be able to cut a hole in the base and then drill out holes in a piece of acrylic or polycarbonate, mark the holes out into the kayak and drill them holes. Put a bead of silicon around the contact areas and then bolt up.

sealing it will be the biggest issue
hey mate, i have 2 gizmos with the viewing chambers in them. The actual perspex is made about 15mm bigger than the opening all the way round, and this is where you glue it on. Make sure you use a quality water proof silicone, not the cheap shit or you WILL have leakage. The finn gizmos use an american glue that mixes with 2 parts and then they also have screws that also lock the perspex in place. I can send you a photo if you want that will show the glue under the perspex?

got a gizmo, didn't pay
got a gizmo, didn't pay anything near 800... go to the factory in oconnor and cheaper their I think. to be honest you need spot on clarity to see if its depper than 5m. Otherwise you only see as far as normal vis as if you were snorkelling
Fishing and catching are two different things. But i want to learn how to catch.
