Colin Hay's 82 cm Flatrock Snook/Pike

I thought this might have been a herring when it first made a tenative enquiry of my bait, then it started peeling line from my Stradic reel and I knew this was no herring.

Thanks Paul
I think there may have been a few around as Stu lost a good fish which bit him off and it looked like a similar sized snook.

You will have to ask Uncle Stu DhuBoi
He said he has eaten them before and they were ok, so I gave him that fish.
I do know the smaller ones make pretty good mulloway baits.

Thanks Craig
It ran hard early, but - unlike a tailor - gave up after that one hard run.

It wasn't too bad Russ and Sandy
Once it got past trying to have a taste of Bobo's nose it settled down pretty quickly - and the long nosed pliers made sure it didn't have a crack at my fingers.
