unevenly weighted jigs - which end to attach assist hook(s)

When you attach assist hooks and line to an unevenly weighted jigs (fat and wide at one end, thin and narrow at the other), do you hang your line and hook from the fat end or thin end?  I assume it makes a difference when casting and also on the descent??  The fat end would descend first???  In the past I have attached to the thin end.

Hi Randall,

Jig such as Blue Blue Searide are meant to be attached at the fat end with the leader and hooks. It has an absolutely flat one side but bulging and fat the other side. However, you can still attach the leader to the thin end and fish it like normal rear weighted jigs. In that case, the assist should be attached at the same tow point as the leader in front.
