You wanting something heavy
You wanting something heavy or lightish mate? Presuming heavy PE6 or something? Saragosa 18000 will be unbreakable running 80lb with a monster mesh pe6-8 or a second hand tcurve deep jig 400. If you shop around should come in under 500.

sambos will kill you , actually catch as many as you can , I have become a magnet for them and every time I get 1 I spend the next 30 minutes recovering on the deck hate the buggers

If you are planning to jig
If you are planning to jig out at the deep spots (100m+) and you want to avoid feeding the sharks more than necessary, I would suggest the heavier 80lb outfit.
You can of course land big ones on a 50lb outfit and lighter, but it takes time, which gives the sharks the time they need to get a free feed.
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
