steering wheel fitting?

hey guys, rebuild a nice fiberglass boat but now changing what was the none essentials and am stuck on the new steering wheel i bought before checking if it would fit and am looking for some info or advice if anyone knows cheers.
pics are of new wheel from the bakc and the steering spigot of the boat.

Reminds me Apollo 13. :) Unless you can press out the white circle in the centre of the steering wheel and replace it with the appropriate one. Which I doubt as it will be most likely co-moulded. You are either looking at a new steering wheel or chopping off the steering column and attaching new roung part with key to fit your steering wheel.
