Pink Snapper on Fly!!
Submitted by Anonymous on Sun, 2015-09-20 12:01
This week I've been out twice on my boat targetting pink snapper on fly with good results!
I've caught a fair few on fly locally (over the years) and haven't done it for a while so it certainly was a buzz to get back into them!
Here's a few pics from those 2 trips ....... each time getting my 2 fish ..... Happy Days =>

nice work mate as usual, ripper fish on fly. Have been really struggling with the pinkies on the last few trips out, still obviously a lot to learn

That is awesome!
Beautiful big pinkies there. Would love to get out there more but the winds on the weekends lately have been pretty average!

Beautiful Pinkie!
Superb fish... . Can't wait to try saltwater fly fishing once we're back home. Yes, that fly really does look like a whitebait. I'm going to check Walmart and Canadian Tire for patterns resembling WB and BB tomorrow.
Are you using sinking flyline... or does that fly carry enough head-weight?

Pinkys!
Cheers fella's for your comments .... yes its a baitfish coloured clouser ie blue/silver/white so more of a mulie pattern!
I've done well with that colour over the years and yes I'm using a sinking flyline to get the fly into the strike zone!
Depths have been 10-15m approx ..... cheers
