G'day all, have narrowed down the dinghy options to the above two styles. Which one would you go for or which one do you have? Any good/bad points?
cheers

Both look ok mate, The entre
Both look ok mate, The entre console configuration will be better for the driver. I am going through the same decision making process you are. Personally I cant see the value in a ali boat. A lot of money for not much imo . ATM Im looking at Haines Profish or Revival glass boats. Not much more than you will be paying, but some more comfort. I would have to drive to Melbourne to pick them up to get a good price unfortunately. They aren't ideal for towing up the coast or for beach launching either. I want the comfort of having a cuddy style cabin.Im tired of getting hammered and wet. Another alternative is the Quintrex Cuddys, they look ok. Also the Morningstar range.

Agree
Have always thought the same but want something that is suited to travelling with and beach launching. Plus being tall, the cuddy cabin seats in a 5m boat can sometimes be next to useless. The other limiting factor is cost - don't want to spend over 25k for a 5m secondhand boat with a newish 4 stroke donk. Research the forums on revival boats mate as there was some bad feedback a few years ago.

Yeah Im with you mate, Ive considered going with a 2 stroke to keep me in the glass range, otherwise the $ will be too much for me too. But Im still not dead set on a glass just yet for the reasons you mention. Im thinking I will be doing most of my fishing locally and want the comfort Age old... Glass Vs Ali
