Garden Island causway

Anyone know if you are allowed to anchore around the bridge to garden island?

Heard of big fish around there of late.

Might be headn out on boat tomorrow and thought i would check incase ya get busted

I used to anchor around the big bridge to the island.
Just stay clear of the areas were other boats travel through.
Larger boats dont like it when you anchor in the way. (ie the middle)

No problems there just dont climb on the pile footings or then you can be in trouble but5 as for the big fish doubtfull!

its fine to anchor around there but as rodrat said dont anchor near the wooden pylons in the middle. As for the fishing it can sometime produce the odd mulloway or snapper but it usualy just rays

Work is just for people who havn't discovered fishing

no problem anchoring round the causeway. just stay out of the nevy zone as you will be chased away. around the coathanger you can get some nice skippy. i tend to anchor just to the side of it andburley up. also if you troll past the corner of the causeway facing the ocean side corner of the coathanger and i have caught some big tailor here. otherwise i hear form a guy that the sand flats just inside the causeway have some king george
