Fuel Line Setup

Hey Guys, I'm fitting a fuel/water separator filter bowl and I want to get some ideas as to the best way to link it up.
Its for a 130hp johnson ocean pro 2 stroke V4.
I've been advised a few things/ways, the most common is to install it this way:
From the fuel tank pickup- fuel hose to- in line fuel filter-fuel hose to-fuel/water separator filter bowl- fuel hose to-primer fuel bulb- fuel hose into the outboard motor.
I've also been advised to install the primer bulb before the separator instead of after.
Which way is the best way guys ?
Also what size diameter fuel hose should I be Using for this size motor ?
Cheers Steve.

My prminer bulb is after separator.
Same size fuel line from tank to separator as after it to fuel bulb then engine. I have a 200hp 2s Ocean Pro and no probs.

Hi mate,I have had 2 boats
Hi mate,
I have had 2 boats and each one came with a different arrangement i.e. primer bulb to filter and filter to primer bulb!
Never had any problems with either. My current one has the primer bulb directly off the tank, going to the water filter (Johnson 115hp 2 stroke).
FYI my fuel line is 10mm ID, never had any problems with starvation.
Cheers

Either way
Have had boats set up either way without any problems.
Have a look on the inside of the new fuel hose to see if its got a protective coating, is so be wary of it lifting off. There have been a few recent instances where people have had fuel blockages because of it , namely Mercury fuel hose with the teflon lining.
