Fishing with Jig Heads!

Hey fellow fisho's,

I've read this article in the Fishing WA magazine and it has this part of fishing with jig heads. I was absolutly amazed how simple this is and how effective it is. When I got back from the draft camp all I wanted to do is get a bit of fishing done, but I wanted to check this new style of fishing. Well boy does it catch fish! I treated it like I was using a lure so I whacked a whole Coral Prawn (peeled) and cast it a upon the sand bank and just hopped it along the sand and as soon as the first twitch I was on. A plump Yellowfin Whiting at night on a whole Coral Prawn so may be this thing does work!

Cheers guys!

I saw it in the FWA Vol. 6 issue 13 (the latest one out). Yeah it was just ones you use on softplastics. It works a treat!

I found that the smaller jigheads tend to catch more fish as it seems to have less effect on it dragging along the bottom. Anyways I'm off to have a board so be back soon!

TT heads in the 1/16 and 1/4 sizes work well on a 10 flour leader when around structure and 8lb when not. Tarwine and skippy also love this technique off hillaries. No secrets here adny just ask mate!lol.

Keep it tight, reeeeeeel tight!

Is it better to use?

Around pylons and rocky outcrops then using the running ball sinker and hook? Cause I was just using it around the sand banks and it was going very well.

Thanks for the help, Spess! Really appreciate it.
