Bundegi Boat Ramp Delays

Have it on good authority that bundegi boat ramp still hasn't started yet. The machinery that has been seen at the boat ramp is a driller, but it is only being used to drill down and determine how deep the rock locate below the surface is. This rock will serve to house the pillers for the ramp. One problem though, the rock is located 16 meters below the surface so it's too deep to use. A new method of fixing the pillers in is now being discussed. Can't see the ramp being finished before Xmas, maybe Gamex 2008.

Cheers for the heads up Robert. I saw the machinery there last week and thought something must be on its way. Can't say I'm suprised that it won't be completed on its due date. :((

im actually amazed its going
im actually amazed its going ahead at all ... last time i asked the fisheries about it they where not to keen to open up the tip of exmouth to the mid range boats as they realise it will increase pressure on the islands by the 18 foot brigade. i think its great that it might happen but half of me wonders what will happen when it does. will the islands get too badly hammered ?? as im sure as soon as they are more accesable most peaple will head out that way and look for "new" ground that is richer in fish.
