I tie the bow to the bull bar or bonnet latch with a standard tie down strap. I only tie it for piece of mind to be able to see if it is moving around on long trips. My pa12 sometimes wonders around on the racks. I tie bow and stern on long trips. Last thing you want is 60kg of 12ft plastic flying off at 110kph into oncoming traffic.

Yeah should have mentioned for long trips doing 110kmh, seen some gnarly pics and stories of losing the Yak at those speeds.
Wouldn't not use them at those speeds from what I have seen Ooh Yeh!
