 Cheers vinesh87 for those jigs is it jig hard and fast, or small twitches ? Slow retrieve ? 

 Try everything to see what works. But mainly slow lifts and drops, twitches with good pauses aswell. Good luck. And remember all jigs perform differently in regards to action

mayb you can try slow jerk for 10 time then drop back to the bottom~and then 5 jerk and back to bottom~~ repeat until you got a fish~~ muahaha~~

thats how we target bottom fish such as grouper back in malaysia~~~

Hi mate jig techniques can change amongst various jigs though there are two basic techniques that work very well and you can change them whilst fishing to suit yourself.

The first is suited to more centre weight short and fat jigs for example the JM Fallings, Haoli8, Damiki Backdrop and more. These are the jigs that do more fluttering on the free fall rather than the movement on the up stroke. Simply put, Once on the bottom and maintaining a nice 90 degree angle with the rod tip do long lifts of about 1m and then drop the rod tip faster than the jig falls. Whilst doing this retrieve about half to a full turn of your handle and repeat for approx 6-10m. Then simply freespool back to the bottom and repeat. 

For more slender longer and narrow nosed jigs like Lamble Kanpachi, Lamble kings, Eupro Flash etc, We suggest more in the way of short sharp twitches with your rod tip. On the up twitch only move the rod tip a maximum of 30cm and drop the tip quickly. Whilst dropping the tip retrieve at max a quater turn of the handle and repeat this motion. Every 3-4m we like to pause for a couple of seconds and let the jig sit there. Quite often this is where you will get hits and even dhuies will swallow the jig and turn for home so be prepared.

One of the key things to remember when demersal jigging is to be persistant. Give it longer than 30 minutes before switching back to bait. Also make sure your line is verticle when jigging. If your line is out on a 45 degree angle then its time to wind up and reset.

Oceanside summarised well. The Kanpachi can be worked as a slow fall jig (eg backdrop / conker) and despite its narrowish appearance it will fall into a horizontal position and flutter/flash. Deadly jig!!
