It depends on a number of factors: how heavy the boat is; how many people you take out fishing; how much fuel you carry; if you go only in the river / estuary, or out past Rotto etc....

However, in saying that, I think it will struggle.  I have a 1982 Quintrex 5m Centre Console and have a 2st 90hp Yamaha on that, after upgrading from a 70.  The 90 uses less fuel, is less stressed with 4 people and a heap of gear, and can out-run waves when needed, when the 70 used to get stuck between waves....

I had a savage 5.5m centre console with a 70hp evinrude 2 stroke  but if you take 4 out fishing with eskies fishing gear etc it used to struggle a bit now I got a 5.3 trail craft centre console with a 115hp two stroke and it flies  but I don't need the power all the time just when I'm loaded up to go camping am looking at upgrading shortly to a 115 hp four stroke.if your taking a few people out fishing and the weight difference of the glass hull compared to Ali I would thinkb90hp at least to sort you out.

Whats the hull? Weight and dead rise will impact the power required. I'd suggest 90hp though would be absolute minimum.
