Leader Size

Hey All
I have just recently purchased myself a new JM Powerspell reel. The reel is spooled with PE5 Nitlon braid.
My Question is what size leader should i be running with this line? I havnt heard of Nitlon braid until Blake put it on the reel so not sure of its actual breaking strain. Would 80lb leader be alright or should i go heavier. Will mainly be for Sambo/kingy jigging?
Cheers Jayce
P.S Just want to add a big thanks to Blake at Oceanside. Awsome deal on the reel. Only downfall is now im not allowed to go shopping with out supervision haha.

heavier
My leaders are around 50% better than the main line.
What ever pe5 is plus 50% should do it.

80-100lb
80-100lb fluorocarbon leader should do the trick on pe5. I'm sure the guys will sort you out.
What size pe reel did you choose to run pe5?

if u want a good PE Line..go
if u want a good PE Line..
go for the Sunline x8 HG line! bloody good line...
as for leader.. if u r running PE 5.. something 80lb-150lb would do. it depends on the target fish size as well as the structure....
if u wanna get sambos out on the barges and wrecks.. i think 120lb at least.
I use about 2-4 m worth of leader... too long a leader and u get alot of stretch and u dimish sensitivity and jig action...
I connect the leader to the solid ring of the jig with a AG chain knot
I woud use 100% FC leader! try out the YGK galis
happy jigging!

Cheers mate. Its already got the Nitlon PE5 on it.
But yeah i also use about 2-3m of leader. I connect to swivel with AG Chain and tie braid to leader with a PR.

At least 80lb and always
At least 80lb and always flurocarbon for the abrasion resistance. I use 100lb on my pe5. My pe5 breaks at 70lb. Pretty sure nitlon is made by ygk. You want heavier than your mainline as nearly all mono knots break between 70-90% (especially flurocarbon, it doesnt tie well) of the line so you dont want your terminal knot being the weakest point in your line.

I use 120-150lb shock leader
I use 120-150lb shock leader for my sambo outfits. Usually the JM Terminator stuff, which they also sell at Oceanside.
Am not a fan of fluoro, but many are.
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Leader
Cheers for the words champ, Shame you now have to have supervision! Haha. Mind you what she doesnt know cant hurt her
80-150lb leader will do the job nicely. For me personally I prefer using 120lb plus. Shock leader or Fluro carbon will work well. All a personal decision.
Cheers

leader recommendation
I'm off to exmouth in a few weeks to try out some jigging out near the Murions. I need some advise on leader. I have two reels that are setup however just require the leader.
Stella 5000 with 40lb shimano ocea braid
Stella 10000 with 70lb pe 4 shimano ocea braid
If anyone has fished rhe area and can recommend the right leader I'll need that would be awesome
