Video footage of schooling Dhufish

Footage taken a few weeks back out from Ocean Reef . We have a homemade drop cam rigged to an onboard screen and video recorder . Always use it to find new ground in the off season .

So far we have had the camera down to 70mtrs and its light enough to film without any trouble at that depth. Seeing  live footage of the fish life down there is always a buz.

Video was uploaded at low resolution , so a bit grainey but it shows you whats down there . Hope it's of interest .

thank you very much for sharing the video with us, a few questions i hope some one can answer, what are the small fish in the school just up of the bottom quite regularly i will get a picture on the sounder that will show great schools of fish just up of the bottom and i think the fish in the video might be the same type as show up on the sounder

Yep, thats the go, Iv been wanting to make the same, see what fish it is I see on the sounder and to better understand some spots. Been lookin at cams from ebay, also wana get one that records to sd card with night vision (have a dull light that stays on too) and attach burley to it, leave for 24 or 48 hrs on a spot to see when and what turns up, leave a mooring float a bit below the surface. Pretty cool what youre seein live there, imagin droppin a placcy in front of the cam to see it get smashed! Troll cams are good too, you have to wonder how may fish follow and not strike a lure or bait
