Jetty rash on the new rig

At the islands a week back, fender slipped out in 30 knots and did this in about 5 minutes.
Was a bit pissed off at the time but it's certainly a tough hull.
polished most of it out, fuck nyalic is good for ease of touch ups and application.
I'd never paint outside of an aluminium hull myself.

Yeah, I gave mine a decent kiss second trip out..solo and the wind just turned the boat enough after making the first contact.
Lucky mine was rubber on timber, looks like you were up against concrete or steel there..

I polished my dark dark blue hull on the weekend. We certainly wouldnt have painted it had we got it new but so be it.
Thankfully only one new small scratch this potting season.

War horses
Once I got over the first few 20 oz sinkers slapping the hull, rash from getting fish onto the deck and some mild jetty/fender rash I dont look too closely at my hull in close detail any more, they dont stay shiny for long, its a war horse and got the scars to prove it.
That would have been nasty on shiny new glass boat, glad it polished out for ya.
