Good to be back in the water

Well we hit the water for our first serious dive on Saturday. conditions were nice with no drift or tide. Viz was not great up to 8m. first dive was in 30m on a small lump . We had planned a drift dive but the boat was not moving so we just hung around the lump and checked out the fish. few small dhuies and Break sea,and some good size crays. We straight hooked one dhuie 5kg. Water was still a little cold. Second dive was 16-19m. some good broken bottom. Viz was still around the 8m and the swell was starting to lift.

Plenty of fish with dhuies, queen snapper, bb, blue groper, baldies, KG. Jesse got a Kg 530mm perfect shot.  didn't see any crays in the shallower water. So a top day in the water and a feed to go with it. Can't wait for the warmer weather and some good viz with some new ground and lumps found over the last 8 months.

Cray season isn't far away so get the dive gear dusted off and get out there .

Yeah absolutely, tried stalking a few in the past but they are onto you fairly quickly. To get a kill shot in around the noggin is some damn fine shooting
