6.8 quake hits bali

We were 28m when a strange rumbling started, looked up for a boat but it got louder. lasted 15 seconds or so and stopped. finished dive to surface and were told they just had a small quake. Lisa was at the villa and reckons the bed was moving and the windows shaking. no one hurt and life is going on like nothing happened. Made people runout of the buildings in kuta. shit not many can say they have dived during an earthquake.

as you said, not many people can say they've dived through an earthquake! what an expirience.

Just reading on their net 50 people hurt in kuta broken bones and head injuries from falling tiles. people fled their hotel rooms and ran to the streets, glad we were on the other side of the island. news says it was a double quake. Lisa said the water in the pool was just splashing out. i think im glad i was in the water.

Pretty amazing when the land behaves as water, and you can see the waves happening down the tarmac. Scarey shit when you don't know how strong its going to be.

Glad to see it wasn't a major catastrophe & you're ok Paul but on a side note man that must of been an awesome experience, Lisa must of been worried about the possibility of a tsunami with you guys in the water!

The fish were every where
The fish were every where, some were a little jumpy but the spooky bit was the rumble, made you feel uneasy, I knew what it was that was all i could think it could be. Lisa was sat watching a movie when we got back she smiled and said there was an earth quake. Its as peaceful as can be as if nothing happened.

glad your ok paul.
we left kuta on tuesday morn 1.30am and my freinds we were travelling with left this morning at 1.30am.
so luckily we missed it.
we were staying in the center of kuta, seems to be were it coped it the most.
