2 VHF Radios or 1 UHF and 1 VHF

G'day
I'm just chasing some opinions on whether to run two VHF units with they're own seperate antennas or one VHF and one UHF.
My current set up is the latter, however I recently lost my UHF antenna. As I have another VHF unit sitting in the garage I was thinking about taking the opportunity to remove the UHF unit and instaling a second VHF as I never use the UHF.
Any thoughts or ideas are welcomed.

VHF & 27 meg
I know 27 meg is slowly being phased out, however a lot of boaties still use it. I haven't come across many people using UHF on the water. Just my thoughts.

UHF
I know of folks that have UHF on the boat , but that is mostly used to call the wife with updates etc. Some boats in groups sometimes use UHF to chat amongst them selves.
Personally I wouldnt bother. But each to their own I guess.

VHF & 27 Meg
Got both and mainly use VHF but have 27 meg turned on as a backup and to be able to lend a helping hand to anyone who only has it on board.

My 2 bobs worth.
if you want 2 radios why not a bog std VHF and a VHF DSC?
At least you know both will be monitored into the future.
otherwise to chat there's always the dog and bone.
