This little pocket rocket give me the run  around.  My light whiting outfit,  dawia double clutch ment for a Taylor. Pulled up in close north side of Carnac Island dropped the lure in for a quick troll, BANG! caught me by surprise,  spooled me on the first run before I could workout what was going on. Little reel only has 100m -120m of line. Grabbed the spool and turned the boat and chased it. It was a stalemate for 15minutes could put enuff pressure on him to move it, 8 meters of water he'd stay on the bottom then run off again and again. Was thinking sambo until the tail beats gave it away. Hooked on the front trebble the hook held up. I can only imagine how hard the big ones go. Anyway sushi is on the menu!
