Here's the boat pic I couldn't upload. This is at Port Walter one Sunday when it was too rough to go fishin outside. Didn't catch any fish, but nearly got booked speeding (14knots) - oops, first time on the river.

Fishwrecked sticker
Plenty of room for a big Fishwrecked sticker there Jason.
It would look awesome on a boat like that.

Any incriminating pics of your boat on this site Andy, I cant see enough of it in your login shot like rego number for example (not that I'd be one to follow somebody....on purpose... :-)

All my spots are fished out!!
So no use in following me out Jason, just ask Shag and Sherbert, they just delete the spots as soon as I give them to them.
I'm on the hunt for new ground and a new species challenge now.
I was sitting there thinking the other day (Pink floyd in the background) all this Dhuie fishing is getting a bit repetitive. Maybe I can't catch anything else?
I seriously need a new challenge. Bring on the Spaniards I say... I want one to match this one from a few years back...
[img_assist|fid=15393|thumb=1|alt=17kg Spaniard|caption=Caught May a few years back out the back of staggies with a laser pro in the mackerel pattern.]
Failing that I wouldn't mind trying the edge of staggies for some serious greenbacks if they are about. Need a relatively calm day and a good deckie though to drive the boat while I fish (Hehehe).
I have an awesome spot on the back of Staggies that has a massive cave structure. 23m up to 17m I just need someone to dive it and tell me what is really down there.
Cheers

Cave structure
Back of Staggies looks like good Tailor territory. I never go in too close as I'm a bit unfamiliar with the terrain - and cautious of the swell. Do you need to fish the white water, or just troll along the back? If ya need someone to keep ya Dhuie spots burley’d just sing out. Awesome Mackie bet he had a go! Too unfit to freedive beyond 40 feet I reckon, need a few more dives to build breath hold back up.
Cheers Jason

White water
I've seen a few guys hold station just inside the reef and cast towards it on calm days (motor running of course) I keep thinking about doing it on those days, but then my crew usually talk me out of it and we head out wide. Must do it one day.
As for the cave it is in good water well behind the main reef so quite safe to drop a pick on in average conditions of a swell below 2m. I guess you would need to dive it with tanks or a hooka.
Cheers

Very Nice
Very nice rig, can't miss it either, will keep my open for you and come say g'day next time I see it. Oh, and I think a fishwrecked sticker would go very nice with the blue striping, even if I say so myself. ;)

Yo Andy Mac
Mate if you want someone stupid enough to dive in your cave just give me a holler....lol
Always looking for a chance to get into new ground both diving and fishing. As long as you have room for two sets of dive gear on you shiny tub mate I reckon we could do a deal.Never know mate it could be the lost crayfish grounds twere the buggers hide eh!They have to be somewhere because the last several seasons they have not been around that much in significant numbers.
Oh and sorry for the highjack back to you regular bat station!
Cheers OX

Sounds like a plan Ox....
I promise I don't get sea sick either.....
Probaly nothing down there but hey, what if there is??????
Do you have a dive buddy that goes in with you, is that the reason for two sets of tanks?
Sorry, might be a stupid question but I don't dive, so that might explain it.
Cheers

Yep
Yeh Andy I have a dive buddy who goes with me.He swims faster than me but I am a lot stronger than him (helps when the big bities turn up and you have to sacrifice someone... lol).He is my bro in law and we ahev been diving together for about 6 years now so it helps with safety underwater when you can depend on your buddy (especially when diving new ground). Always dive with a buddy as have had bad experiences before while diving which could have been the end of me without the help of my buddy (still get shivers when I remember getting stuck under a reef ledge, took a while to get out).So always err on the side of safety. So with two people diving you need two sets of gear and we dive with tanks not hooka for the moment.
And yeh mate it will be different not going out without the burley king Captain "chucky" ..HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
Will exchange my details with you Andy if you want mate and will organise for the not too distant future.
Cheers OX
