Nice fish mate, they're tough fighters, especially in the shallow stuff on lures.

Good Q
Good question Jay, was thinking the same thing myself. Got a nice diamond trevally this morning in the marina, but always keen to improve my plastics technique.

Ive got the same and very happy with it! I use it for flicking 5" snapbacks around offshore and landbased as well. Rated 3 to 6kg, 7', and can easly handle 17lb braid (im using bass hard PE braid on a sol3000) and im casting jigs from 1/4 to 3/8 and above. Cant handle much over the 35gm mark though. I find its great for 15 to 35gm raiders and snipers for tailor as well. For $150 or so its a great buy IMO.
Keep it tight, reeeeeeel tight!

Daiwa do make excellent rods
Daiwa do make excellent rods but each to there own, and i have many of all brands. Loomis, Daiwa and shimano all make good rods but some are just standouts from others, this mid spin is one of them for its price IMO.
