went out today for a fish ended up in the sound to some insane scenes. holding up mine and the guy who took the photo. my boss. cant beleive people yet again i got hit by a boat drifting around an area other boats where already at anchor. congratulations to the fisheries for getting a few idiots today. one young fella will pay a price. seen him catch four befor the guys got him. shameless act as to why we now have tougher limits. fair few being greedy even tho the fisheries guys where patrolling. this one fish will feed me and my 2 families nicely.

Good stuff
Excellent stuff! I got out this afternoon with my mate and had a crack too, but didnt get amongst the pack until the end of the day for about half a hour. Couldnt be bothered spending to long trying to dodge everyone. Ended up busting off myself but my mate landed one over 700 so we called it quites as I had to get home to go to work.
Sorry about the bloody shot.

I noticed
I noticed the difference in the flesh when filleting today compared to some smaller ones caught a month or so back. Definately not as firm a flesh as the smaller fish.

Nice fish but no winners IMO
Nice brace of fish there Mike. However from the scenes you've described there's no winners IMO.
Hopefully the moron's doing the wrong thing get financially hammered. Greed does funny things to people unfortunately (ie drifting through others lines, keeping more than they should etc). Glad the closure starts soon and goes for a decent amount of time.
With the state of the metro fish stocks these breeding snapper are like gold. Fornicate for all your worth Pinkies!

well done
Well done Mike, nice pinkys and yes i've seen all the boats bumper to bumper of late...........me personally i find my furtherest spot away from the hungry mob.
The mob goes into a freenzy and they forget the rules and boating ethics......good to see the ban on, lets just hope the fisheries make more of a presense this season!
