All good, Glenn at the Museum has solved the mystery
It's one of the pebble crabs, Myra mammillaris, family Leucosiidae. It's an Australian endemic found on all coasts and quite common up in Dampier according to our Woodside records. Lives in fine sediments in shallow waters to around 20 m.
