nothing really decisive, but from limited experience, i still prefer trebles. big is better; that is: decoy GT10/0. But not always possible as popper may sink.
Might tentatively say that singles does impart better action in SOME poppers. and if using singles, one BIG owner jobu or decoy JS-2 does seem to sit better at the back than baker rig. not that this is not already known or advised by some, but wanted to experiment with anyway
done any popping john? those salmon stickbaits worked a treat on emperor, coral trout, red bass and grouper at new cal; will try it again at mackerel islands and exmouth
Been getting some nice queenies and small trevs on the salmon stickbaits.
Had a look at Rosily Cay the other day but I haven't done any popping out there yet, looks like a special place.
Just waiting for some nice weather as its a 45km run out there.

Singles
G'Day Kasey,
What's the logic behind the two big singles on the back eyelet?

Hi John
Hi John,
Hope you're having a blast up there. We were just experimenting with 'baker rigs' both at the middle swivel and off the back.
P.S. The depth of the coral trout, i do not know.

Conclusions
Did you do enough experimenting to come up with any decisive conclusions?
