Whale carcase washed up today near the old jetty. Few sharks having a feed and an awesome slick forming.

Few sharks having their fill Kev. Can just see the tip of ones tail to the left of the carcase (in the surface boil). Not to sure what they are going to do with the carcase.

The local Coral Bay whale watching boats were witness to a killer whale pack hunting a baby humpback last week. Turned into a blood bath to the horror of near on a hundred onlookers from various boats as well as the mother whale in serious distress tail slapping and jumping. They have enough troubles dodging the killer whales, never lone harpoons!

Its terrible to see I would have been crying my eyes out but nature is cruel sometimes, even though I don't like it, poor tourists on the boat would have been upset, poor mummy whale apart form sharks she also has to watch out for killer whales. sad sad

We had one wash up on Safety
We had one wash up on Safety Bay beach last month, the Jaw and tounge had been eaten and the rest left, Killer whales only like to eat the Jaw and Tounge and discard the rest. We should start to see the whales moving South in the next few months and also White shark sighting increase.
