I'm feeling old

This little baby made me feel the pain today.

After that one you can scratch your ankles without bending down, a real arm stretcher.

Time to trailer the boat for another month so you can recover Andy. Solid.

Nice fish mate, how long did it take before you wished it would let go?

Hmmmm pain is always a delayed reaction with me.

Until I see colour I always try to convince myself its a 20kg plus Dhuie or something equally impressive. So I guess the moment I confirmed what it was, my body finally overruled my mind and I just about fell in a heap... even though its only a sambo it was great fun and a worthy adversary. At the time I loved every second of the fight but hours later I realised just how old I really am as the aches and pains set in.

Just lifting the bloody thing up for a photo seemed like a hurculean effort, let alone the one failed spearing release attempt and the one failed release weight attempt (Fell out of its gob as it was lowered into the water and let go of... doh!)  when we had to net it back into the boat twice before finally getting it down on a huge release weight. The poor thing must have been as knackered as I was and whilst kicking strongly boatside just didn't have the strength to overcome the inflated air bladder, hence the release weight came out again but this time a little better handled (I'll get it right one day...  ).
