Beau - I'm Asian so I am used to this type of thing, just thought the pic would be nice for the folks here. So far the only thing that I haven't acquired the taste for is bitter gourd, fresh oysters and alcohol.
Looks like dried whitebaits called Ikan bilis in Indo, Great washed down with a beer or two, usually caught in massive light weight thrownets, have never even thought about eating Lizardies, usually if it's dried and fried it's not much good fresh, S'all good treated this way but chopped up and put through Nasi Goreng or some other asian type fry or soup.

Yeah they're great in Nasi Lemak and other asian food. Just wondered how to catch them. Will be awesome if I could get my own supply instead of bringing in each time I go back to Malaysia.
Lizards are uaually caught off muddy areas around reefs up here (Karratha) on bottom rigs, a good indicator your near or just off good ground, as said above considered good mackerel bait.

Yeah that's the other name I know them as. They're stinky buggers, they almost smell acidic... wonder how they taste.

Caught a few and after getting frightened by the teeth normally just dump them overboard to fight another day.
When you use them as mack bait, is that live under a balloon, or dead with a set of gangs?
