Snare

Snare him by the horn to hold him from retreating, then wrestle him out with the other hand. He brought out an equally sized rock in his feet which I couldnt pry out, so rock an all went in the bag!

Cooked in sea water and eaten that day - he was good, the smaller ones we cook and freeze after wrapping in newspaper - had one last night, went down well.

Dead

Only opportunity for a cuddle once they're drowned ey! it looked like a five kilo cray under the water, man the old adrenalin was pumping! All the bigger ones are males so far. Only seen one female so far with eggs - they're real dopey the ones with eggs, put em back in the same hole and they don't really panic, just sit up and carry on with being a cray!

I'm loving these southern red pics, they certainly make the westerns look a little small. They do make up for it in numbers though. He would've been a sight underwater, I potted a 3.5-4kg off KI a few years ago and he was huge out of the water, would've been intimidating under.
