Nice fish Andy for sure , My local fish monger has Cuttlefish heads for $2.99 a kilo , might have to invest in a few kilo's next time I go out chasing bottom fish .

No fluoro?
Nice fish and pic Andy.
Where's the fluoro shirt mate. Could be about to bring a whole load of bad karma down on yourself (fugu's, sergeant bakers etc).
Hehe.
Fishwrecked shirt looks alright though Adam.

The fluro's gone, apparently it was seen at some local good sammy's.....
The fishwrecked shirt brings you success, if not the first day, it will the second. Have faith. :) :)

More photo's to come.
This was the icing on the cake from a great day on the water. We hit a few spots I hadn't fished for a year or two, plus some old faithfuls, didn't pull more than 2 fish from each spot and hit at least 15 - 20 spots. Had a great day on the water despite me not wearing my fluro shirt.
Yep Fathers day will be fresh Dhuie, prawns and scallops on the barbie, and copious amounts of amber fluid.
After yesterday I had a 40th to go to hence only one pic posted. I'll put a few more up over the next few days. Mindarie as usual, only two boats at the ramp when I departed at 6-00am and a handful when I returned at 3-00pm (footy kept a few away I guess).
Mav: Two of the best day's fishing I have had have both been when we have scooped up a fresh cuttlefish that had floated to the surface minus its head (something had bitten them in half) we quickly skinned the mantle and had every fish down there clambering to get at the pure white flesh. Yesterday's fish was caught on a mantle from one I had caught last trip out (3 months almost) sitting in the freezer for that long and still claimed the prize of the day.
Adam: Agree they are still my favourite fish as you all know by now.
Big John: We apeased the fish gods with first fish release rules (a nice little dhuie of 53cm) The fluro still has its place in my fishing wardrobe but might have to be retired, signed and put into a big frame to hang on the wall of my bar, its caught a heap of fish for sure. Just wanted to get one with the fishwrecked shirt on for Adam.
Sean: Hehehe gotta love it. Makes a change for you to be jeleaous of me, normally its the other way around.
Bolts: Yeah almost got it sussed, but always trying something new. First Dhuie of the day was caught on a Berkley Power Grub kindly supplied by John Abbot down at Complete Angler in Joondalup. Unfortunately the fish were crawling all over it and I finally lost the entire rig to something unstoppable (the reef).
Street: Don't worry mate the fluro still rocks, just imagine how many fish I would have caught if I was wearing that. Gotta give the fish a break sometimes.
Thanks all, I will post a full report shortly.
Cheers
