I was vidioing it as well, so I kept the camera as steady as I could hopeing to get some good footage when the croc bit down on his head. But unfortunatly it didnt. Theres no way Id do something like that but you have to remember that its a third world country and by tourists paying to see them do things like that is the only way they can put food on the table to feed there families.I guess its people like me that pay to see them do this gives them no choice but to keep doing it.

Teeth

Sun, 2006-10-15 22:43

What are the chances that this Croc has had its teeth pulled, and as such what looks dangerous might not be so. Mind you its breath wouldn't be something I'd want to get to acquainted with either.

Did this croc have teeth Tapout?

John

Croc

Mon, 2006-10-16 11:06

Have seen footage of one of those guys before that didnt fare so well. Luckily he didnt put his head in this croc only his arm. The croc decided to clamp down and then roll - needless to say after his arm was flapping in the breeze and blood everywhere.
Last footage was him being escorted away to hospital I would assume!

well, this actually happens

Sun, 2006-10-22 02:46

well,
this actually happens probably more than 3 times a day everyday of the week, in heaps of places. nothing new. its just like the magicians and their tigers and lions.

no need for insults there. great respect for the hard work and dedication put into their 'jobs' just so they can entertain tourists so they can feed themselves. they seem to show great respect and love for the animal too, and from what i understand the ones on show aren't exactly 'wild' but are tamed and trained from hatchlings.

Saw the exact same thing in Pattaya Thailand! Brilliant stuff, a Guy and young women putting the crocs into transes and then sticking heads and arms inside them.

They even set one up with the mouth open and the fella did a run up then slid along the tiles on his stomach stopping with his head in the crocs mouth. The croc didnt move and yes they have all their teeth! Bloody amazing
