yup
You southerners have got nothing that we want! Would have got 150 sized crabs in 4 hours, have to get a bit picky and go for muddies instead. ;)

Nice! Is it all year round
Nice! Is it all year round for crabs up there or is it better at certain times of the year? And what's better - Blueys or Muddies?
I fish for the future - Cause I can't bloody catch anything!

mostly winter but apparently
mostly winter but apparently if you work hard in the depths you'll find them in the warmer months and i prefer blueys better than muddies but it's good to change it up occasionally

clean
Easy to clean, Richo took his 20 and 2 muds. I gave away 8 blues so was left with 3 muddies and 12 bluies, cleaned them in half an hour (with a few ales, don't you worry Pete, there were a fair few ales downed during the gathering process as well :) ) It was just around the corner from the ramp Jeffo, the amount of crabs was just ridiculous, females and blues, I've never seen so many so we just take the big blues. 2 of the muddies we walked for, the rest were in the nets, we could have walked the shallows and scooped the blues as it was very clear down there which you just never know about.

haha, never doubted you Ads.
haha, never doubted you Ads. Fun day indeed. All the boys must of moved north. Diving the river, I reckon 1:12 are males, there are just so many jennies about at the moment. Think the jennies will struggle to find a mate over the next few months.
The jens are a good size and very taste, hence a few have a ride home with me while the lads are left to do their thing.
Cheers Pete
