Canning Flatties 1

Canning Flatties 1

Picked up a heap of these babies on Saturday wading the Canning. Must have got 12-15 in three or so hours... largest was 46cm but most were around 35cm.

The lure is a 6cm HRT Dancer.

Flatties

Good numbers for a 3 hour session. I'm missing the Perth flatties; got a few favourite spots that I hit up first thing in the mornings; it's a great way to start the day.

Thats a great effort for a short session. Must be quite a few around. Have yet to get any out of the Swan yet, must try it this summer.

Thanks guys.

Should have mentioned that there were two of us fishing but it was still a good session.

Saw a couple of rays too which I haven't seen in the Canning before. Might be following the crabs upstream?

Wasn't too deep, maybe 1-1.5m, just wanted to give the HRT Dancer a go and see how it went.  Got a fish on it pretty quickly and then didn't need to change.

Ah nice, got home not long ago from the river caught 3 from a vibe lure, was shocked how well it worked, dropped a big mama though reckon it would of been pushing 1.5kg, do you have problems with the fish spitting the lure?
