Can finally tick this one off the list!

Double hook up on metro mackies on a solo run this morning. Just put the last rod in the holder to turn around to see a midwater Christmas tree on the furuno then two rods went off simultaneously. Raced over to get the third rod out the water just in case that took off aswell. Good knows how I got them both in without a cluster-f#ck tangle! Can finally tick a metro mack off the list, now for a longtail tuna!

Nice on beau
I've caught plenty of mackerel out of country towns but not metro. Looks like you now have a new spot to try for the duration of the warm water period.

Awesome
Now tell the whole story. Unless you are "the" fish God you surely couldn't wind both in at once. LOL. The potential vision off that in my mind has me smiling.
So what was the battle plan. Make sure both hooked solid, clear the 3rd line, teaser, flasher (if used) etc. Fight one at a time.
I bet there was a little consternation onboard. A YouTube GoPro footage would have been a hoot.
My imagination of the carnage is running rampant but I am sure it would have been a great deal of fun.
Well done "Fishbeaugod"

The second one behaved quite
The second one behaved quite nicely after the initial 50m+ run and swam with the boat, i thought it had spat the hook or had been sharked until i got the first one in and started reeling in the second line then it took off again

Solo double
If you're in fairly clear water leave the boat slightly in gear to keep the second line tight whilst you get the first one in, has worked for me a couple times.
