Bonefishing Cocos Islands

I had a great morning with my second attempt to catching Bonefish.
With the incoming tide I managed to snag another with the same jig from the other day, Big John's Jigs Banana Bucktail jig
After casting over and over all morning a local guy had given me a tip to smash a hermit crab and try that. So thinking they pick around like whiting i chucked on a Prestige Tackle KGW rig and managed to catch another five in the space of 30 min before the Black tip sharks started

Cant beat local advice. What an place!!

The spot looks familiar
South of the new jetty ?
The green ghost crabs you catch on the beach at night are excellent bait for bones and permit
And crushing a few of the giant land crabs makes excellent burley
Wish I was back on the Cocos
