might be a silly observation but isnt that trim tab upside down?
Normally the little wings face down to minimise the spray and that around them I thought?

One other observation...aren't u meant to put ur tranny on the other side as there is less turbulence from the prop wash??
Is that a tm260??? U will love it they are a great ducer!!

The 90 deg edges may not be for aerodynamics, just strength / rigidity.

i would also say for safety, The edge is sharp and being on the top would mean less chance of coming in contact. Didnt save my knee tho
