Only one dhu near that size
Only one dhu near that size I have caught which was quite dry compared with smaller dhuies. In retrospect it seemed a shame to kill such a magnificent animal given it was only average eating, and I will probably release any dhu's over 85 cm from now on. Not sure of survival rate as barotrauma is an issue??
Anyone else had experence of dryness in the larger dhu's?

Cheers Dirt. Maybe we did
Cheers Dirt.
Maybe we did not handle the large fish well, as every other dhuy has been brilliant. Agree, at $69/kg, one big fish can pay for a lot of fuel!
Bloody nice fish and happy to hear they are still Ok big. Not god news for the next big Dhu.... Anything special you do post capture, or just normal spike and ice?
Cheers
