Hey guys I just a set of three surf poppers and was wondering what's the best way to rig them I have seen and heard of people having gangs underneath or is a single hook better what size hook weight and leader length etc..

Surf Poppers
I use them with Salmon rigs. Normal bait and sinker setup with a popper above. Quite often on the retieve when the bait has gone a Salmon will chase the popper. The setup is like a double baited patanoster. Sorry, no drawings to assist.

Ok so basically a double
Ok so basically a double hook pasternoster but have the surf popper on the top and either the single hook or the ang underneath do you leave it to sink in the surf or slow retreive all the way in

From what i understand, you
From what i understand, you fish as normal with bait, let it sink as normal, and the popper works when you are winding in to re bait.
I have just got a rig setup and will be trying it for the first time this weekend.

I prefer to have mine
I prefer to have mine underneath the gang.
Mulie on top, popper underneath.
I use this rig for salmon and just leave out as with bait fishing. Often catch double headers, particularly on the retrieve.
One advantage is that if pickers get your bait, there is still something else out there.
If you PM me I am happy to send you some poppers I hade made with 5/0 hooks to try
