Stone deflectors

I am thinking about fitting a stone deflector to the trailer to tow the boat north (or South) after receiving quite a few chips in the boat after the last trip

Are they worth fitting? Can you buy them anywhere? Any tips on making one?

Thanks

gotta agree with Quabba.no need to spend big $ on a fancy thing. if you want a bit of padding under the tarp grab a blanket from the linen and tie that on first

Tarp

Get some tarp or shade cloth and cable tie it to your rear bumber and use occy straps to secure it to the bottom of your trailer, making sure there is enough stretch to allow you to turn without snagging the cloth.

This directs the stones straight out the back and being at an angle doesn't take the full force of any stones capable of going straight through.
