Running in a motor

gday,

recently have been running in my motor (25 yammy), for the 1st tank of fuel it says to put 1L of oil to 25L fuel (which is how much fuel my boats got atm). then after the "break in" period its just 100:1.
my question is that after i finished out in the boat playing around, can back home and put the motor down and quite a little bit of oil came out from the prop!
i am thinking it did this, because of the amount of oil i put in the 1st tank of fuel? is this normal? i spose it shouldn't do this when im doing 100:1 to a tank!

any one with info on this would be good!

cheers in advance
sam

trying to scan the bloody article and post it up but im not the best on comps. to cut a story short, i was diagnosed with cancer of the lymphatic system about 6 months ago, and theres a company called "make a wish" foundation and people undergoing chemotherapy pretty intensively get granted a wish. so i wished for a boat and got this bad boy!

pretty stoked ay...just wondering y the motor let out all that oil after the 1st run!

Mate I wouldnt worry about the oil. That is your exhaust behing your prop and the oil is just unburnt two stroke oil. Even after running in the enigne it is not uncommon after running at low revs for oil to drip out. and running on 100:1 ask your dealer, i have never worked at a yamaha dealer but when in W.A i had a mate who did and he said they used to tell there customers to run them on 50:1, Apparently they have better quality fuels and oils in japan where they do their testing. Not sure how true. We recomend 50:1 in our mercs and tohatsu's.

Weeping Oil

As Andy said, i wouldn't worry to much about the weeping oil from the prop, its just unburnt oil. I ran my 30hp Yammie on Yamalube 2 Stroke oil at 100:1, sweet as a nut! Ask Adam, he's put a few more hours on it by now.
