Relocating battery to bow
Submitted by GotOurFish on Sun, 2024-09-01 20:44
Days off are coming up and due to the wind thought o would do a few things to the boat. Going to fabricate a ladder for the rear step and a sounder box, I have been contemplating moving the battery to the front storage area. Will help with weight and free up the rear or the boat, just wondering if anyone has their battery In the bow? Boat is a 429 rampage (2012 pressed hull style)

Yep
My boat is a 1992 Trendsetter ( rockingham built i think )plate ali , it has a twin battery set up in the front storage area .
I have owned the boat for about 20 years , never had any issues what so ever.
But in saying that, my boat handles the waves well in that it very rarely slaps or bangs like a lot of ali boats.

Busta
This is what I did on my 2014 Busta. Battery sits up front along with all the wiring and switches, little annoying that it isnt at arm's length but it's the dryest spot on the boat which suits me fine for the electrical side of things.
Been there just over 2 years and haven't had any issues.
