I know its a push - Boat borrow in Exmouth

Morning All,

I know it is a push though my family and I are heading up the coast as far as Exmouth in april/may and are looking to hire a boat once we get to the tip. It is a proper first world problem as I am towing the caravan up therefore cant take my own boat and the guys we are heading up with, towing a boat, are heading back at Carnarvon.

Would anyone have a 4.2m + tinny up there that they could be talked into renting to me? I am aware of the rental options up there and the cost and would be willing to reinburse accordingly. I appreciate that if you're up there and have a boat, you will likely want to use it yourself, i am just putting it out there...

Now i fully understand if there are no replies to this though the kids (6 and 3) watch youngbloods multiple times a week and i want get them out on the water. Further to that, last time i took my tinny up, we didnt catch a thing, and the last time off the beach, i got a snook in the marina so want to see if i can better that....

I have 29 years experience on boats and have owned my own boats over the past 17 years.

Worth a shot..

They've got three 4.2m dinghies for hire, good value by the looks of things.

Yep, i spoke with them today. The deal sounds pretty good. I guess i am just after a bit of flexibility if the weather isnt playing ball, i dont want to have burnt my cash.

The weather always plays ball up there. Windy on one side go to the other.

Planning 3 days in Exxy and 5

Fri, 2020-02-21 06:20

Planning 3 days in Exxy and 5 nights down near Yardie creek so if we are on the west side, i wouldnt be keen on driving back up and around if the wind wasnt favourable.

I know i am being fussy, just looking at options.

Right you are on being fussy !
Why don't you scrap the boat idea and go land based for this trip ? . You'll be pleasantly surprised at what you can pull off the beach around that area with some rock crabs for bait. Get the kids in on it by catching crabs for bait ( whilst supervising drinking a cold frothy one ) . Another option is get the boat for the days you're in town and no boat for Yardie.

The boat is to get off the

The boat is to get off the beack to hopefully see some turtles, sharks and potentially a whale or two if they're right in close. Do plenty of beach walking though i lack the patience of sitting in one spot waiting and with the kids, we certainly wont be spending 10 minutes on the beach and moving to the next spot without a fuss. Well perhaps on the days we're not on the boat....

Looks like a 3 day boat hire will suit us to a tee in lieu of anything more suitable popping up.
