I have been fishing up there most of my life it is a great place to fish I don't want to scare you but if you haven't been up there before or don't have some that has it can be a very very dnagerous place to fish and with out the knowledge of the place you can be in big trouble on the calmest of days. Aprt from that if you are really keen on fishing the area it would probaly pay off to fish out of jurien until you get used to the area as it is more protected and has a more marked out channels and etc. If you have any question on the place please don't hesittate to PM.

yeah i went up there not long ago. ramp up there is pretty good, make sure you line up the lead markers when you're going out and coming in. there is some pretty shallow reef to watch out for as you leave the ramp. might be worth looking at a marine chart to make things clearer. we didnt really fish in close so i cant comment on that but 30km out we found a lump in the middle of nowhere (shown on the marine chart) that was awsum (baldy double header see profile pic). got really windy up there when we were there the 2nd day even the little bay had waves breaking over the front of the boat.
